FIRE EXIT - "Alex" - 7" EP + P/S

Glasgow's Punk Stalwarts are back with three new tracks and are eager to air them on their up and coming dates in America....

“Alex” is a dedication to Alex Harvey & “The Sensational Alex Harvey Band” (SAHB) and they lived up every bit to their name.

If I ever had a hero, it was Alex and I wanted to do that. I made a point in the 70`s to see SAHB as often as I could at the Glasgow Apollo and they also played at Parkhead supporting The Who - but they stole the show……

In 1979 “Fire Exit” played at the Ally Pally in London with the Angelic Upstarts, SLF, Tom Robinson Band and various other bands and guess who.... Yes Alex Harvey. To this day i'm still a massive SAHB fan .. I also jumped up on stage with Chris Glens, the SAHB bassist, band -The Outfit-at their SAHB party at the Xmus bash at The Ferry, Glasgow 27th Dec 2009 uninvited, sorry guys. Just can`t keep a rocker down eh?

Fire Exit also supported "The Outfit" at 'The Cathouse' in 2016 and "Zals" (SAHB guitarist) new band "Sin Dogs" in 2019 at 'Ivory Blacks'.

Back in the 70s, While was watching the SAHB on the Old Grey Whistle Test, Gerry kept saying I could do that, that’s what I wanna do and I did.

Alex son Alex junior has heard the song and says this. My dad would be very proud and think its Sensational. Well that will do us – enjoy Vambo still rools ok .
