Love of Concrete reflects the longing for colorful basement spaces, crumbling brick buildings, disused industrial sites and self-managed open spaces. Having suddenly disappeared from the everyday lives of musicians, the desire to play in them is all the greater the longer the pandemic lasts. Tim and Mots make a virtue out of necessity and activate the homerecordig stations. The two know each other from joint concerts of their bands Scobben from Neustadt/Holstein, D (Tim) and The Zsa Zsa Gabor's from St. Pölten, Ö (Mots). Tim packs the emotional swings that come with this time of isolation into wistful songs, all recorded independently at home in DIY style. Mots contributes the bass line and backing vocals. To add more power to the expression of the songs, notable guest vocalists can be enlisted. Michel (Untergangskommando, Wilde Zeiten) not only lends his distinctive melodic voice to some of the songs, but is also responsible for the final mix and mastering. Uwe Umbruch, currently with the band Kommando Marlies, formerly with The Revolvers and Public Toys on the road, sings the most recent songs "Liebe aus Beton" and "Nie mehr Erwachsen" in alternating vocals with Tim.
