Formed in 2007, THE AUTOCRATICS are a Tokyo-based post 2-Tone Ska band known for their energetic live performances and modern take on classic UK 70s / 80s culture. Touring nationwide and performing at major events such as SKAVILLE JAPAN, CLUB SKA, SKA CRASH, and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra’s TOKYO SKA JAMBOREE, the band has built a strong presence in the Japanese ska scene. Their extensive discography includes six full-length albums and six 7-inch singles released through notable labels like SKA IN THE WORLD and TV-FREAK records. Internationally, they have completed tours in Germany, China, Korea, and more. Their 4th album “THE AUTOCRATICS” was selected as one of the Top 5 Best Ska Albums in the world by UK’s Do The Dog Skazine. They have twice performed at Germany’s prestigious THIS IS SKA festival, and in November 2025 completed their third EU tour including an appearance at DYNAMITE SKA FESTIVAL.
