No Sports Unleashes Ska Energy with "Life Kills"

The legendary German ska band No Sports is back with a bang with the reissue of their iconic album "Life Kills." Originally released in 2008, "Life Kills" captures the raw, authentic spirit of ska. 

In 2008 though the band was known by the name “Nu Sports” which was a compromise between members that wanted to signal the reunion of the band, with three original members, in 2004 as something “new” and the founder of the band “D Mark Dollar” who wanted to keep the well known brand that has made No Sports a household name in the ska and punk scenes for over three decades.

"Life Kills" is more than just an album; it's a sonic journey that blends traditional ska with punk rock influences, delivering a powerful, danceable experience from start to finish. The album features a dynamic mix of upbeat horns, punchy guitar riffs, and catchy vocal hooks that have stood the test of time, making it a must have for both new listeners and long-time fans.

With tracks like “Happy to be alive," "On my own," "Sometimes I don't know who I really am" and a cover version of the talking head song “Psycho Killer," No Sports channels their irreverent energy into a sound that is both nostalgic and timeless. Back in 2008 the album was a DIY production of the band itself and had no label or distribution. Originally “Life Kills” was only available on CD and only through the bands merchandise at live shows. Now the re-release comes on vinyl, and digital download, giving fans the chance to experience the album in their preferred way.
