China Drum & The Swipes “Can’t Stop These Songs – Collection” Two punk rock bands, two generations of songs – one special release. 

British alternative punk legends China Drum and German punk rockers The Swipes are joining forces for a unique release. The split LP / split CD, due out on 2 November 2026 via Mad Butcher Records, brings together rare, exclusive and previously unreleased material from both bands while offering a fascinating journey through their diverse musical histories. Hidden gems from the archives sit alongside more recent songs, unreleased studio recordings meet energetic live tracks, and together they paint a vivid picture of two bands across different eras. Most of the tracks have never been officially available before, making this release a special collection for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

One of the standout moments of the album is the exclusive new recording of "Can't Stop These Things". The Swipes originally unveiled their own version of the song in 2025. For this new collaboration, China Drum frontman Adam Lee stepped up to the microphone, resulting in a powerful reinterpretation of the China Drum classic that bridges the spirit of the 1990s with the present day. The release also coincides with the 30th anniversary of China Drum’s landmark album “Goosefair”, on which the song first appeared. Fans will also find alternative live and acoustic versions of “Meaning” and “Find the Time”, two more highlights originally featured on that celebrated album
